Geoffrey Todd Ball, 46, of Six Mile, Danville, WV died on May 13, 2014 at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston, WV after an extended illness.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roscoe and Dona Bias Cook and Ace and Euna Hager Ball; uncles, Don Cook, William and Ernie Ball; and several first cousins.
He was born in Huntington, WV on January 20, 1968 and was the youngest son of Emory and Susie Cook Ball. He graduated from Scott High School in Madison, WV in 1986 and attended West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. He worked several years in the coal mining industry before becoming disabled in 2003. Geoff will be remembered by all of his friends and family members for his tender spirit and kindhearted nature. Geoff always enjoyed life, joking and laughing; a laugh that warmed the hearts of anyone he shared a moment.
He is survived by his parents, Emory and Susie Ball; brother, Greg (Ronda) Ball of Kingsport, Tennessee; and nephews whom he loved very much, Adam Ball of Six Mile and Cory Ball of Kingsport, Tennessee.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with the Rev. Tom Bias and Chris Varacalli officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
