French David Price Jr. of Madison went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 25, 2014.
He was born February 8, 1926 and was a son of the late French David Price Sr. and Ella Griffith Price. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Vada Marie Price.
He was a retired coal miner with Bethlehem Steel Coal Company and a member of UMWA. He was a member of Uneeda Church of Christ.
He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (James) Bryant of Madison; Kathy (Dickie) Smith of Mocksville, NC; son, Gary Price of Barboursville; grandchildren, Dr. Deric (Jennifer) Bryant of Parkersburg, Jessica (David) Thompson of Madison, Patrick (Leanna) Bryant of Danville, Kristina Price of Barboursville, Tina (Sean) Gravesande of Virginia Beach and Brandon (Jodie) Smith of Morrisvale; great-grandchildren, Codi Bradford, Reece Thompson, Neva Bryant and Cady Bryant.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Roger Dingess officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
