Franklin Delano Roosevelt Vance, 73, of Branchland, WV died Tuesday, December 9, 2014. He was born March 14, 1941 at Branchland, WV, a son of the late John and Erie Vance. He was also preceded in death by a son Franklin D. Vance.
He is survived by the mother of his children Bonnie Lunsford and his ex-wife Kathy Imfield; children, Janet and Johnny Smith Jr., Marie and Charlie Elliott, Becky and Lucian Adkins, Scott Eastham, John Vance, and Melissa Bryant; one brother, Garnett and Phyllis Vance; 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Our father dedicated his life to his children. He loved to write short stories, hunt, garden and collect artifacts.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday December 13, 2014 at Liberty United Baptist Church, Branchland, WV. The burial will follow in the Old Place Cemetery, Branchland. A visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Friday at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV.
