Ernestine Cornett Pettry of Oak Hill, WV formerly of Madison, WV died Thursday July 31, 2014 unexpectedly.
She was born November 11, 1936 in Hazard Kentucky and was a daughter of the late Chloe and Hubert Cornett. She was also preceded in death by her husband Tommy; granddaughter Amanda; her sister Virginia Farley; and her brother Elmer Cornett.
She was very active in all areas of family and social life and a well respected floral designer. She graduated from Marsh Fork High School and was very proud of her lifelong friendships.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana Harrison and her husband Bobby from Madison, WV and Karen Hultman and her husband Robert from Oak Hill WV; grandson, Arch Griffith and his wife Cindy and their children, Mary, Chloe, and Ellie of Madison, WV
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014 at Memory Gardens, Madison with clergy and friend, Carl Sellars officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Handley Funeral Home in Danville.
She loved flowers, however she was a supporter for the Marsh Fork Park Project and information regarding donations to this worthy cause will be available.
