Ella Bias Ball, 90, of Hewett went home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2013.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Remus Eugene “Gussie” Ball; parents, Omer and Tina Bias; and brothers, Estle, Casset, Ronald and Earl.

Ella was born September 18, 1923 at Hewett, WV. She was a member of Spencer Chapel United Methodist Church where she worked tirelessly in helping with hot dog sales, quilting and Ladies Aid. She was a cook at Spencer Grade School and Jeffrey Spencer Elementary.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda of Hewett; sister, Janet Allen of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Juddy Bias (Janice) of Hewett; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Spencer Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Roger McCauley and Harold Ray Ball officiating. Burial will follow in Elkins Cemetery, Missouri Fork.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Special thanks to all who helped in her care, Dignity Hospice of Chapmanville, Georgia Dent, Vanessa Ball and Betty Spencer. All help was very much appreciated.

Arrangements by Handley Funeral Home, Danville.
