Eileen Howard Hill, 88, of Madison, WV died Thursday, June 4, 2015.
Eileen Eleanor Bashford was born March 31, 1927 to Charles and Rosamond Bashford in London, England. She endured the “Blitz” as a teenager in WWII.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin Howard whom she was the war bride of; and husband, James Hill.
She is survived by her sons, Gary (Shirley) Howard of Castro Valley, CA and Lynn Howard of Madison; grandchildren, John, Charles, David, Rebecca and Amanda; nephews, John (Janet) Bashford of Watford, England and Tony (Sandy) Bashford of Kent, England.
Eileen was a committed and hard working member of the United Methodist Church in Madison.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9th at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Rick Swearengin officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison.
Friends are welcome one hour prior to the service.
