Dorothy Pearl Toler Dempsey
September 18, 1935 — January 10, 2014
Dorothy Pearl Toler Dempsey, 78, of Six Mile, WV went home to be with the Lord after a long illness with family gathered around her. She joined her husband of 39 years, Roy Elwood Dempsey; her parents, Jasper and Sarah Toler; six sisters; three brothers; one grandson, Doug Stollings; and daughter-in-law, Karen Dempsey.
She is survived by two sisters, Eunice Harvey and Lucy Harvey both of Greenwood; children, Brenda (Fred) Stollings of Six Mile, Jack (Terri) Dempsey of Alum Creek, Eddie Dempsey of Six Mile, Billy (Cyanthia) Dempsey of Alabama, John (Kitty) Dempsey of Fairdale, Linda (Will) Cannan of California, Ann (Charlie) Clay of Uneeda; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Church of Christ, Greenview.
The family would like to thank Hospice for all the care that was given to her.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Pastor Richard Runyon and Frank Ball officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
