Danny William Chafin, 60, of Danville was born October 31, 1956 and passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Gilmer and Maude Adams Reeder Chafin.
He was a construction worker for Labor Union and a member of Labor Local 1354 of Charleston and was a miner at Madison Mines.
He is survived by his son, Danny Chafin Jr. (Tracy) and grandchildren, Olivia and Carleigh all of Virginia; daughter, Nicole Chafin and grandchildren, Christopher, Chloe, Caitlyn and Ayden all of Florida; brothers, Kenneth Chafin (Vicky) of Kenova, WV and George Chafin (Pam) of Danville and James of Texas; sister, Shiela (Mark) Perry of Danville; step-mother, Violet Chafin of Texas; and several nieces and nephew.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18 in the mausoleum at Highland Memory Gardens, Godby with visitation one hour prior at the mausoleum. Rev. Roscoe Chafin will be officiating.
