Christopher Lee Gard, 30, of Foster, WV was born May 27, 1986 in Columbus, Ohio and passed away Friday, February 10, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Helen Underwood; paternal grandparents, Herb and Audrey Massey; and uncle, Luther Buzzard.
He was a service coordinator at Res-Care. He was a graduate of Scott High School where he graduated as Valedictorian. He graduated at the top of his class from West Virginia University. Christopher was a Christian and was a member of Julian Baptist Church, Julian, WV.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Sperry and father, Gene Sperry of Foster, WV; brother, Dustin and Heidi Gard of Morgantown, WV; girlfriend, Melissa Brooke Workman of Man, WV; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Christopher will be missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 18 at Danville Memorial Park, Danville, WV with the Rev. Garry Bowman officiating.
