Charles Atkins, 82, of Gulf Breeze, Florida formerly of Boone County, WV was born December 31, 1931 and went to Heaven on June 6, 2014 to be with his beloved wife, Annagay Atkins; parents, Henry and Verna Atkins; sisters, Bethelene Mahone, Jean Atkins and Dema Atkins; brother, Billy Atkins; and grandson, Bo Smith.
He is survived by daughters, Pam Callahan of Drawdy, WV, Cathy Bailey of Gulf Breeze, Fla. and Reida Hamilton of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Rhonda Childers of Baker, Fla. and Lynn Atkins of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; son, Chuck Atkins of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Betty Keffer of Drawdy, WV; brothers, James Atkins of Drawdy, WV; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Friday, June 13, 2014 at Drawdy Cemetery, Drawdy, WV with Stanley Skeens officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the graveside at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV.
