Cebert Miller

April 12, 1931 — August 30, 2013

Cebert Miller of Morrisvale went home to be with the Lord Friday morning, August 30, 2013.

He was the son of the late Talmage and Myrtle Miller. Cebert was born at Silush and lived at Morrisvale.

He was married to the late Clara R. Miller for 59 years. He was a 1950 graduate of Scott High School, an Army Veteran serving in Germany during the Korean conflict, a member of the VFW, a retired member of the UMWA, and a member of the Maple Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children and their spouses: Teresa and David Hubbard of Madison; Charles and Drema Miller of Morrisvale; Richard and Vickey Miller of Bloomingrose; and Susie and Rich Feamster of Gloucester, VA; Grandchildren: LeighAnn and Tom Sheppard, Jennifer and Carl Grilli, Richard and Karen Miller, Nickie Miller, Joshua and Jennifer Miller, Paula Hubbard, Shadora and Craig Lovejoy, T. J. and Lana Miller, Mark and Shellie Rinchich. Great-Grandchildren: Tommy and Connor Sheppard, Kahtrena, Kelsey, and Anthony Miller, Caeden Wood, Gia Grilli, Seth and Kenzie Rinchich, Bryson Miller, and Riley Garrity. Brother: Dallas Miller; Brothers and Sister-in-law: Cephas Nicholas, Roy Holeston, Carole Miller and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Irene Nicholas and brother, Carl Miller.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Handley Funeral Home Danville with Rev. Chuck Adkins and Rev. Darrell Searls officiating. Burial will follow at Orchard Hills Memory Gardens Yawkey with military graveside rites by VFW Boone Post 5578 Madison, WV. Friends may call Tuesday from 12:30pm until service time at the funeral home.
