Betty Jo Salmons Ball
August 31, 1941 — April 2, 2015
Betty Jo Salmons Ball,73, of Lake, Logan County left this world for a better home with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at home surrounded by her family.
Born August 31, 1941 at Lake, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Doma Covey Salmons. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Melinda Gaye and Stephanie Lynn; and one brother, Charles “Bucky” Salmons.
Betty was a member of Victory Freewill Baptist Church for many years and a wonderful homemaker who loved working in her flower garden. She was a friend to many and was always there to lend a helping hand.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Carosel Ball; son, Stephen and Patricia “PJ” Ball of Lake; one granddaughter, Terra Shawn Childress of Medina, Ohio; special “sister” Dorothy Hurley; two special friends, Eula Mae Ball and Linda Ball Fraley; and brothers in Christ and long time friends, Shorty McComas and Bill Craddock.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 6 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Roscoe Chafin officiating. Burial will follow in Covey Family Cemetery, Lake, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
