Bernard "Jack" E. Charcandy

Bernard E.”Jack” Charcandy, 74, of Madison, WV died January 30, 2014 at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison, WV.
He was a retired coal miner, member of the UMWA and an Army veteran. He was preceded by his parents Andrew and Marguerite Charcandy, sisters; Ruby Gains, Geraldine Michaels, and Betty Ball, and a brother; Arthur Buck Charcandy.
He is survived by his wife; Judith, a daughter; Elizabeth Ann and husband Wayne Workman of Madison, sisters; Virginia Thompson, Madison, Effie Spencer and Janet McCormick of Virginia, Judy Norvell of Flatwoods, Gloria Burger of Dunbar, Lana Charcandy of Danville and Dottie McVey of South Charleston, brothers; Donald “Tom” Charcandy of Madison and Robert Charcandy of Danville.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Rev. Tom Bias officiating. Burial will follow Family Gardens, Madison with military graveside rites by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578, Madison.
Friends may call 6 to 8p.m. Sunday at the funeral home
