Barbara Sue Sigmon

March 8, 1944 — April 16, 2014

Barbara Sue Sigmon, 70, of Alkol went home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2014 following a long illness at Saint Francis Hospital, Charleston.

She was born March 8, 1944 and was a daughter of the late Clarence and Fay Webb of Twilight. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Kenneth Sigmon in December of 2001. Barbara and Robert were married in November of 1961 and spent 40 happy years together. They are now once again together forever. She was a wonderful wife and mother.

She is survived by her brother, Charles Webb and wife Marilyn of Wellston, Michigan; sister, Linda Ball and husband Junior of LaGrange, Ohio; daughter, Susan Lynn Lane and husband Harold of Wharton, son Robert Kenneth Sigmon, Jr. and wife June of Dunbar; daughter, Jo Ann Cook and husband Steven Dewayne of Griffithsville; daughter, Barbara Ann Bostic and husband Eddie of Mammoth; grandchildren, Jordan Lane of Wharton, Shawn Cook of Griffithsville, Savannah Cook of Griffithsville, Nova Lea Bostic of Mammoth and Cooper Bostic of Mammoth; and great-granddaughter; Elaina Lynn Lane of Wharton.

We will all cherish the wonderful memories of our beautiful, loving mother and grandmother.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Oshel Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Yawkey, WV.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
