Aubrey A. Gent, Sr. 75 of Wharton, WV passed away April 18, 2014 at home.
He was a retired miner and an Army veteran serving in the 101st Airborne.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Wilda Moore Gent.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lois Gent, sons; Neal (Katrina) Gent of Davin, Aubrey Gent, Jr. at home, adopted sons; Justin Gent (Jessica Wilcox) at home and Joey Gent (Cassie Green) of Bigson, grandchildren; Tia Gent (Corey Castle) of Danville and Austin Gent of Davin, great grandchild; Landon Green, brother; Carl (Lynn) Gent of Foster and sister Kitty (Frank) Moore of Georgia.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2014 Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Rev. Ronald Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery, Bald Knob with military graveside rites by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578,Madison, WV.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
