Arvil Richmond

May 7, 1929 — August 21, 2017

Arvil Richmond, 88, of Twilight went home to be with the Lord August 21, 2017 after a short illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Greene and Alma Richmond; sister Margaret; brothers Emerson and Willie; as well as his children Ronald and Rebecca; and his granddaughter Candace Alexander.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Helen; his son David (Renee) of Harrodsburg Ky.; daughters Rhonda (Mike) Justice of Lynchburg Va; and Angela (Shane) Alexander of Twilight; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends.

Arvil was an Elder at the Bandytown Church of Christ where he faithfully attended for 49 years. He was a retired coal miner with 43 years of employment with Peabody/Armco at #8 and the Tipple in Twilight.

Many hours were spent with his best friend, Caleb, playing video games and watching or attending wrestling matches. His death has left a gaping hole in his family’s heart. He will be missed beyond measure.
