Allison Suzanna Nunley Walker, 37, of Concord, NC/Madison, WV passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV as a result of a seven year battle with cancer.
She was born September 4, 1978 in Charleston, WV. She was the daughter of Alice Thurmond Nunley-Nawas of Concord, NC.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and June Thurmond of Gordon, WV and her paternal grandparents, James H. and Grace Nunley of Uneeda, WV; her father, James G. Nunley; as well as her husband, Jeff Walker of Madison.
Allison is survived by her fiancé, William Canterbury; her children, Zack Miles of Madison, Sydney Walker of Harrisburg, NC; Daniel and Nate Canterbury both living in NC; mother, Alice (Froud) Nawas of Concord, NC; sisters, Teresa (Tammy) Nunley of Charleston, WV, Tammy (Eric) Combs of Harrisburg, NC and Kimberly (Shawn) Justices of Harrisburg, NC; as well as many other beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will follow in Allen Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday at Noon until service time at the funeral home.
