Alfred L. Jones, 88, of Blair, WV died March 9, 2014 at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV.
He was a retired coal miner, member of UMWA and a US Army veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his daughter, Judy McNeely of Blair; son, Donald Jones of Fairmont, WV; sister, LaDonna Jones of Danville; grandchildren, Paula Wells of Sissonville, Richard M. McNeely Jr. of Jeffrey and Donald Jones II of Fairmont, WV; great- grandchildren, Richard McNeely III of Jeffrey and Ashley Frye of Sissonville; great-great-grandchildren, Jaxon Frye and Johnna Frye of Sissonville and Raevyn McNeely of Jeffrey.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2014 at Boone Memorial Park, Madison with military rites by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578 Madison WV, with Ralph Caudill officiating.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Handley Funeral Home, Danville.
